Equity and Inclusion Strategy Lead
As Momentum’s Equity and Inclusion Strategy Lead, Melvene Tardy guides and coaches individuals and workgroups, through the process of making their diversity, inclusion, and equity strategies a reality. Melvene works directly with organizations to enhance their community engagement and talent development strategies, to ensure their processes and systems are in alignment with their inclusion goals, and their people are actively engaged in identifying commonalities and working to bridge cultural differences. She is committed to helping individuals interact and communicate effectively and productively, and to help employers and community organizers eliminate structural and cultural barriers they may have in fully engaging all leadership, staff, volunteers-- improving their productivity and workplace environments.
As an Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) Qualified Administrator, she works with individuals and groups to achieve higher levels of intercultural sensitivity, and increase their intercultural competency. Melvene is a native of Grand Rapids and has spent her career as a human resources professional and nonprofit capacity-building practitioner, trainer, and technical assistance provider in West Michigan.
